Standing Firm When the Odds Feel Stacked

The giants of insurance often appear when you’re already vulnerable, after a storm, an accident, or a loss. They hide behind paperwork, policies, and delays, making it difficult to claim what’s rightfully yours. Homeowners, families, and small business owners are left exhausted, fighting uphill battles against endless fine print and shifting promises.

Stone & Sling helps you cut through the confusion and reclaim your ground. With the right tools, you can understand your policy, document your claim, and hold insurers accountable for every commitment they’ve made. This is your guide to standing strong, staying informed, and refusing to be intimidated by the giants who profit from delay and doubt.

Navigating Home Insurance Claims

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” — Isaiah 43:2

“Arm yourself with knowledge, aim for Justice”

I didn’t set out to write a book, I set out to survive storms and help others do the same. Since 2008, I’ve weathered four major hurricanes in South Florida: Irma, Ian, Helene, and Milton. Each one shattered not just homes but the belief that insurance would do the right thing. I even lost a business to underinsurance, a lesson that policies are written for profit, not protection.

I approach this battle as both a homeowner and a licensed Florida contractor who’s helped families rebuild. Raised in a Midwestern construction family, I learned that integrity and hard work matter, values I carry into every claim fight.

Insurance often feels like a David vs. Goliath story, where homeowners are reduced to policy numbers. But you’re not powerless.

This book is your sling, filled with stones of preparation, documentation, persistence, and strategy. I don’t offer legal advice, but I do offer hard-earned experience and conviction that every homeowner deserves to be Made Whole.
